The defense of freedom advances in the defeat of the state of South Carolina

Liberty’s defense paved the way for Flames’ 82-52 victory over the state of South Carolina. Flames extends their winning streak at home to 27 games, which is the second longest in the country.

First half

The state of South Carolina got off to a hot start, jumping to a 14-5 lead, boosted by Rahsaan Edwards’ nine points. Liberty managed to recover in the game led by Chris Parker (six points) and Blake Preston (five points) scoring 11 of Liberty’s first 13 points. Liberty managed to regain the lead at the 9: 55 mark, while Flames went on 31-0. Darius McGhee was an important part of the race, scoring 14 points in a four-minute break. Liberty did not allow the state of South Carolina to score a field goal in the final 10:50 of the time and ended the first half with 31-1, going into the break with a 44-17 advantage.

Second time

The Flames continued to be effective in attack when starting the part, firing 50 percent in the first 12 minutes. Elijah Cuffee found his pace in the attack, kicking 5-6 off the field, including four of three points. While the Liberty holders set the tone, the Liberty bank came in and also offended, beating the South Carolina state bank 23-12 over the course of the game.
