The debate over Meghan Markle on The Talk leaves Sharon Osbourne in tears

Sharon Osbourne and Sheryl Underwood may be on a show called The conversation, but after today’s episode, it looks like it should be called The debate.

On Wednesday, March 10, the normally friendly co-hosts talked heatedly about Sharon’s decision to support Piers Morgan after the British personality said he did not “believe” Meghan Markle has always been suicidal while working for the British royal family.

Sheryl asked, “What would you say to people who may feel that while you are with your friend, it looks like you have given validation or safe haven to something he said is racist, even if you don’t agree.”

In response, Sharon explained that she is not trying to “escape from” problems, but she genuinely does not understand her remarks as racist. According to Sharon, she does not think it fair that, just because of her friendship with Piers, she can also be accused of racism.

“I feel like I’m about to be put in the electric chair because I have a friend, who many people think is a racist, so does that make me a racist?” she fired back. “What does this have to do with me?”
