The creators of WandaVision say they introduced the official Darkhold MCU

WandaVision ended his run at Disney + a few days ago. Thanks to Kathryn Hahn’s character, Agatha Harkness, the miniseries introduced Darkhold into the Marvel cinematic universe. But this was not the first time Marvel has shown fans that they saw the Book of Sin live. It has already played a role in SHIELD agents and Hulu Fugitives. However, previous versions of the tome with black magic spells and that of WandaVision they are not the same. Like the programs they were on, these were not necessarily canonical for films.

“It is my impression that this is the Darkhold MCU,” WandaVision creator Jac Schaeffer said while talking to Yahoo. “The only thing I can really say about it is that it is the Book of the Damned, and there is an entire chapter about the Scarlet Witch there, along with a lot of prophecy language. Other projects will probably say more. “

In the same interview, both Schaeffer and WandaVision director Matt Shakman revealed that they weighed in including a cameo from Benedict Cumberbatch Doctor Strange, but ended up abandoning the idea.

“We definitely think about that idea, because he is a very important person in this world in terms of magic,” said the director. However, they felt that a cameo “was not necessary for the story we were telling”. Schaeffer then added: “We knew that our program would feed Multiverse of madness, but it was not where we landed. “

Each episode of WandaVision is now at Disney +.
