The cast and crew of “The Connors” are mourning the loss of one of their own after a member of the show’s technical staff died.
The crew member suffered a “medical event” on the set of the popular sitcom, according to a representative for Werner Entertainment, which produces the ABC sitcom.
“With a heavy heart, we regret to confirm that a member of our technical team suffered a fatal medical event today,” the representative told People magazine.
“He has been a very dear member of the ‘The Conners’ and ‘Roseanne’ families for over 25 years. As we remember our dear colleague, we ask that you respect the privacy of your family and loved ones as they begin their grieving process. “. the statement added.

According to a TMZ report, the employee was on a catwalk at CBS Studio Center on Thursday when he suffered a medical emergency. Paramedics from the studio were called but were unable to resuscitate the man, and he was pronounced dead at the scene, the agency said.

The tragedy occurred during the final day of production of the program on the CBS lot, a source told the gossip website.
“The Conners”, which debuted its third season in October 2020, is a spin-off from “Roseanne”.
ABC canceled “Roseanne” in 2018 after its star, Roseanne Barr, made a racially accusatory tweet to former Obama senior adviser Valerie Jarrett.

The show was renamed “The Conners” after Barr was fired for his outburst and his character was discarded.
Representatives for Werner Entertainment, ABC and CBS Studios did not immediately respond to Fox News’s request for comment.
