Marvel fans with eagle eyes have known since the first episode of WandaVision who has been secretly watching the false reality of the sitcom between Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany) But a new WandaVision clip from the next fourth episode of the series comes straight with him. Not only do we have an adequate introduction to Teyonah Parris‘real character (surprise, her name is not Geraldine), but we have an idea of how the fourth episode will break the formula of the first three episodes of the series.
This clip, and this article, contains spoilers for the series so far.
WandaVision, episode 4, clip
The last time we saw Teyonah Parris as Geraldine, she had literally been expelled from Westview, landing in the middle of a field overrun by agents and soldiers of some sort of government organization. Randall Park also appears in this scene as Jimmy Woo, the FBI agent who was keeping an eye on Scott Lang in Ant-Man and the Wasp. In this clip, he finally refers to her as Rambeau, confirming that Parris is playing the adult version of Monica Rambeau, daughter of Maria Rambeau, the pilot and best friend of Carol Danvers (Brie Larson) in Captain Marvel.
Now that we’ve cleared that up, we also have confirmation of exactly how Monica / Geraldine ended up in Westview. In case you missed the tips in the first three episodes, her wardrobe confirms that she’s working for SWORD (which means Sentient Weapon Observation and Response Division) But that’s not the only interesting thing about this clip.
After the first three episodes of WandaVision, we know that Monica infiltrates the false reality of Wanda’s sitcom as Geraldine. But in this clip, it looks like she’s seeing the force field around Westview for the first time. This tells us that the next fourth episode of WandaVision it will probably happen from the SWORD perspective, and we will probably see it unfold from the beginning of the series. In fact, there is a chance that this episode will take us back before the WandaVision sitcom that we have watched until it started. After all, at the end of the first episode, SWORD clearly had a viewing station ready to watch the show as it unfolded.
Speaking of which observation station, there is also a new scene of Kat Dennings like Darcy, where she appears to be in that very room. I think we’ll find out that Darcy was watching WandaVision’s development, and maybe there are some interesting observations that she will report to SWORD.
I think it is safe to say that from now on the sitcom world that Wanda created will start to crumble even more. After Monica shocked Wanda by mentioning that Ultron killed his brother Pietro, it is clear that Wanda will do anything to avoid facing any pain he may be experiencing after Vision’s death. But there is still something more mysterious going on with this situation, and we can’t wait to see where this series goes.
