The classic cult film ‘Turbo Kid’ is having a video game adaptation

is a charming ultraviolet homage to the Saturday morning cartoons set in a post-apocalyptic 1997 version. It’s one of my favorite films of the past decade, so the announcement that a game based on the film is on its way made my week .

You will play as The Kid, who battles his way through the desert while looking for a friend. Developer Outerminds (better known for) says Turbo Kid it’s a wide and diverse environment, radical BMX tricks and a moving story. The game has a pixel art style and promises a lot of blood at low resolution. Fingers crossed you also use as a weapon.

RKSS Filmes, the collective that made the film, is working with Outerminds on the game. Just like Le Matos, who composed the thunderous soundtrack of the film. Turbo Kid will be released in 2022.
