The Chicago Bulls are reportedly interested in acquiring the Lonzo Ball

The Chicago Bulls have had a question mark in the position of owner for a long time. Some are hopeful that Coby White, from the NBA 2019 Draft, might take the position, but others question it due to his “scoring first” style of play. Watching White play this year, it looks like he tried harder to be a versatile point guard rather than just a dynamic off-bench scorer. Now, this comes with ups and downs, but perhaps Artūras Karnišovas and Marc Eversley have seen enough.

Trade rumors are circulating around Pelicans’ owner Lonzo Ball, and the Bulls, among other teams, are reportedly interested.

Lonzo Ball is set to join the restricted free agency this coming season, so why would the Bulls switch to him? Well, its value has never been so low and it has a lot of potential. Lonzo plays fast, just like the new look the Chicago Bulls likes to do, so he can fit in as the playmaker and perimeter defender they need. In addition, it would give the Bulls a good view of the 23-year-old to determine whether or not it would be worth keeping him, instead of offering him an absurd amount of money at a restricted free agency.

Ball’s score is a little difficult, as he is a 39% pitcher in his career, a 33% three point pitcher and worst of all a 43% free-throw pitcher. But before this season, he showed a consistent improvement in all three categories as his career progressed. The Bulls would not expect him to be a dynamic scorer, but rather the main facilitator to help players like Zach LaVine, Patrick Williams and Wendell Carter Jr. get the best look possible and be in the right place at the right time.

It is just a rumor now, but it will certainly be an interesting situation to monitor in the coming months.
