Today is the first day of sales for OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro, which just means that if you want, you can place the order and they must be shipped immediately. It turns out that this is not the case for all models of each phone, specifically the cheapest version of OnePlus 9 Pro and the most expensive version of OnePlus 9.
When these phones were put on pre-order, we were left with the impression that you could buy both phones with configurations of 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage or 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. But when pre-orders started, the 12GB-256GB OnePlus 9 was missing, as well as the 8GB-128GB OnePlus 9 Pro.
We ordered OnePlus that day and they told us that all configurations would be available when general sales opened, which, again, is today. These two settings are still missing, so we asked OnePlus what was going on.
We were told that the cheapest OnePlus 9 Pro (8GB-128GB, $ 969) is not available in North America, but it should be at some point in the future. The most expensive OnePlus 9 (12GB-256GB, $ 829) is reportedly sold out and will return later. I don’t remember being available, but that’s the story.
