NEW YORK >> Health authorities in the United States now recommend that people fully vaccinated against coronavirus do not need to be quarantined for 14 days after exposure to an infected person.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention quietly published the updated guidance this week. He says vaccinated people can skip quarantine if they are asymptomatic and if contact with an infected person occurs at least two weeks after receiving the final dose of the two-dose vaccination series and three months after receiving the last dose.
The recommendation is similar to what the CDC said about people who developed immunity after being infected with COVID.
