The CBS All Access app appeared to be having problems as users tried to watch Super Bowl LV on Sunday. Users reported seeing an error message that said the application was “experiencing technical difficulties” and that “an error occurred”.
The Down Detector showed an increase in complaints to CBS All Access around 6 pm ET on Sunday. Several users complained on Twitter that they couldn’t see the game.
Todd Spangler from Variety reported shortly after 7 pm Eastern time that CBS was telling subscribers that the problems were resolved and to restart the application.
CBS All Access crashed around #SuperBowl start time, it is now telling subscribers “The technical issues reported with the service have been resolved, restart your CBS All Access app and you can now return to streaming.”

It was the worst possible time for the app to be unavailable while the Super Bowl between Kansas City and Tampa Bay was taking place.
Update: February 7, 7:18 pm ET: It adds that the application should work for most users.
