Call of Duty: Warzone DMR 14 has been released and Battle Royale fans believe the rifle has completely destroyed the game.
The DMR is a semi-automatic sniper rifle available in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, and can be used on Warzone now that the games have been formally merged for the first season. On paper, it doesn’t look too crazy, but in practice DMR can take down a fully armored player in three shots from any distance.
Warzone cannot be played on r / Warzone
O Call of Duty: Warzone subreddit is inundated with clips of players being melted by the infamous weapon before they even have time to react, let alone respond to the fire, which is the crux of the matter. Part of Warzone’s fun is that its armor system increases killing time and allows for more round-trip combats, but the DMR throws it all out the window in favor of the usual split-second deaths you get in normal multiplayer mode. Call of Duty. It doesn’t help – or maybe it helps a lot – that the DMR doesn’t have the telltale glow of sniper rifle sights, even though it can safely kill from the sniper’s range.
Naturally, any weapon with this power will be in high demand, and the DMR has become so dominant that it is only matched by the Mac-10, a devastatingly powerful SMG that was also added to Warzone with the first season’s sync. As our own Ben Tyrer said of his recent experiences in the war zone: “You die for DMR or Mac-10. This is exactly what happens now.”
Warzone has seen superpowered weapons before and all have been destroyed relatively quickly, but with the world returning from an extended holiday that also interrupted the game’s development, DMR had an especially long stay in Busted Town. We hope that everything reigns soon, so that Warzone does not start the new year with a groan.
