Call of DutyBattle Royale’s War zone it’s just under a year. When it launched in March 2020, I praised the online game for 150 players for smooth gameplay, streamlined mechanics and fast-paced action. But all the resources they once did War zone one of the best Battle Royales to enter now feels hampered by the wreckage created from recent updates. How are you now, War zone it’s a mess of bugs, cheaters and weapon balance problems.

Following the trend of games as a live service, accumulating constant updates for a massive game like War zone it can be both a blessing and a curse. The new content keeps the game updated through new weapons, modes and cosmetics. But every time something is added to the game, something else seems to break.

At the end of last year, War zone spent many weeks plagued by a unlimited steamroller failure, which allowed players to generate an infinite number of giant killstreaks. The juggernaut suit consists of heavy armor and allows the player to wield a minigun, making it a frustrating experience of real battle when dealing with just one or two of these threats. Fortunately, that flaw has been fixed for now. But some old flaws have reappeared, including the failure of the stimulus shot.

The stim shot is a piece of tactical equipment used for healing, but it is abused with an exploit that allows the player to have a continuous and infinite healing. This allows players to stay in War zoneThe toxic gas from, which would otherwise cause imminent death and would outlast all other opponents by unfair victories. Developer Raven Software tweeted that the problem with the stim shot was resolved with a patch last week, but some players are still reporting equipment abuse.

A long-term problem that has not been addressed is the freeze loading. Many players have reported that their game freezes for several seconds after trying to collect the load drop, leaving them vulnerable on the map. I haven’t personally encountered this problem, but it seems to be showing up a little to others.

Shootings have also been difficult since December 16, when developers integrated the Black Ops Cold War weapons in Modern war-Based War zone. Putting all these extra weapons in the mix has created some bugs and balance issues. Cold Warthe company’s DMR 14 tactical rifle quickly became War zonethe most powerful weapon in the, dominating the finish line, closely followed by the Diamatti double pistols and the MAC-10 submachine gun. A January 13 update provided nerfs for both the DMR 14 and the two Diamattis, but both are still powerful weapons, especially since the pistols to feel completely unchanged.

On the bright side, DMR 14 nerf has players branching out to try to find the next best weapon for long-range shootings. I’m still seeing a lot of players running and shooting with the MAC-10 and Diamattis, but it’s nice to see a slightly better range of weapons at stake. Modern warThe CR-56 AMAX assault rifle is my favorite for War zone, and it looks like it could be a competitor again without the DMR goal in play.

There is also a recharge problem that can occur with some of the integrated weapons. You can start a weapon reload and watch the animation happen, but sometimes the weapon is not really reloaded. It cost me my life in more than a few shootings when using the Cold War weapons in War zone.

Some players want the Cold War weapons to be removed from War zone, but I think the weapons just need a proper balance. Of course, it is important to note that War zone remains the bridge that connects the future Call of Duty titles, the set of weapons and equipment can become an overwhelming mess. I think Call of Duty would do well to get a page of Fifteen days, jumping certain weapons to preserve the balance of the game and keep things fresh. I can understand the hesitation in storing weapons for which players bought cosmetics, but it would be less of a problem to store an item like the stim shot so that players don’t have the opportunity to abuse it.

Leaving item issues aside, there is still rampant cheating War zone. Activision started fighting cheaters inside Modern war and War zone in April of last year, but nothing seems to stop the influx of wallhacks and aembotting that chisel in the integrity of the matches. All players can do is report the cheater on the game option, but Activision’s account review and banning doesn’t seem to matter; cheaters simply make new accounts. Last May, Activision added a two-factor authentication requirement for all new War zone accounts on the PC. But hackers are good at finding alternative solutions and are still shamelessly cheating. Nobody wants to deal with cheaters, and many content creators and professionals are fed up.

In terms of integrity in War zoneIn the competitive landscape, cash prize tournaments are often compromised, with players finding ways to circumvent the skill-based combination of the game to be placed in “bot lobbies” by less qualified players. Several methods have been exposed, including specific routers for ping locations or using accounts with reverse increase statistics. The current Twitch Rivals Doritos Bowl is the first big War zone tournament since Black Ops Cold War integration to present private lobbies to avoid any discrepancies with skill-based combination. Hopefully, all future competitions will have private lobbies, especially those big money tournaments.

In addition to all these major issues, a petty criticism I have is that the Verdansk map is obsolete. I have complained a lot that there is so much untapped potential in the Verdansk landscape. Instead of getting Verdansk map updates for the first season, we have a second map: the smallest, Cold War-thematic “Renaissance Island.” A smaller map adds some variety in terms of the scenario and pace of matches, and I generally like the faster, higher-killing games than the slower and more exaggerated ones in Verdansk. Although I still don’t think I need the same bells and whistles on the larger map of Verdansk, Rebirth Island is now my preferred option War zone matches.

All complaints here do not mean that War zone it can’t be fun, but it can often be ruined by bugs or cheats that shouldn’t remain constant factors in an online shooting game. I poured countless hours into War zone, and I want it to continue to be my favorite Battle Royale, but it is now too rough to enjoy in its current state. I would love to see a major update that focuses only on cleaning up bugs and balancing weapons, which is more important than just studying new cosmetics or adding time-limited modes. War zone it needs a little bit of TLC to get back to the fantastic shape it launched last year.
