The Breeders, US Girls and Tkay Maidza share covers of the new 4AD album: Listen

4AD completed 40 years as a record company last year and, as a late celebration, announced the compilation of new covers Bills, Aches and Blues. The collection will be launched on April 2 digitally with vinyl LPs and CDs on July 23 and a luxury vinyl box arriving later this year. The first five songs in the compilation have already been released – listen to Tkay Maidza covering Pixies, The Breeders covering His Name Is Alive, US Girls covering the Birthday Party, Aldous Harding covering Deerhunter and Maria Somerville doing a cover of Air Miami below.

Other artists featured in the compilation include Big Thief, Tune-Yards, Future Islands, Dry Cleaning, Jenny Hval, Bradford Cox, Helado Negro, Bing & Ruth and SOHN. Find the full tracklist below.

The first year of earnings for Bills, Aches and Blues goes to the Harmony Project – a Los Angeles-based after-school program to help communities without equal access to arts or music education.
