The Breath of the Wild trick shot defies the laws of physics,

Even in 2021, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild it is the gift that keeps on giving. Today we have one of the main players in the game, Neko, presenting a shot so incredible that it required extensive planning and measures to get it right.

In the video above, filming starts with Neko on top of some ruins, where they shoot an arrow out of a window. This is quickly followed by a “BTB” (bullet time bounce) trick, which allows Link to bounce off a Bokoblin’s head to gain massive speed and distance. In turn, Link is shown tearing through the air at a pace that allows him to actually watch the arrow as it slides through the air.

That in itself looks impressive enough – it’s almost as if Link is tracking a shooting star. But the real spectacle happens later, when it is revealed that the arrow had a target all the time. Near the end of the clip, the arrow finally reaches its destination and destroys a Guardian with a single blow.

The rest of the video describes how Neko achieved this in the first place. Using tricks like the jump of the moon, which allows Link to gain altitude, along with the flight mini-game – which measures distances – Neko discovered exactly where to place the arrow. The arrow travels an impressive 1,400 meters, which is almost the entire map.

If that seemed cool to you, it might be worth checking out some of the other tricks of this intrepid player, which show new ways to kill Guardians. I also recommend following the BOTW Twitter feed of the trick-hunter, where they post achievements in progress that lead to these bigger and more complex displays.
