‘The Boys’ spinoff approaches series order on Amazon, two added to cast

The spinoff of “The Boys” on Amazon is approaching a serial order. In addition, Lizze Broadway and Jaz Sinclair joined the cast.

The project was first announced as being in development in September. Set at America’s only college exclusively for young adult superheroes (and directed by Vought International), the untitled series is described as an irreverent and rated program for minors that explores the life of competitive and hormonal Supes when they put on their physical aspects , sexual and moral limits to the test, competing for the best contracts in the best cities.

Broadway will play Emma, ​​a young superhero. His previous TV credits include “The Rookie”, “Bones”, “Southland”, “Splitting Up Together” and “Here and Now”. She is represented by the Coast To Coast Talent Group and Industry Entertainment.

Sinclair will play Marie, another of the young superheroes. Most recently, she starred in “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” on Netflix. His previous credits include “Rizzoli & Isles”, “Easy” and “The Vampire Diaries”. She is represented by UTA and Creative Partners Group.

Like “The Boys”, the spin-off will be produced by Sony Pictures Television and Amazon Studios. Craig Rosenberg will serve as a showrunner and executive producer on his general contract with Sony. He is currently a writer and executive producer for “The Boys”. “The Boys” creator Eric Kripke will also serve as executive producer for Kripke Enterprises, along with “The Boys” executive producers Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg and James Weaver of Point Gray Pictures, Neal H. Moritz of Original Film and Pavun Shetty, Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson. Ennis and Robertson created the comic book on which “The Boys” is based. Sarah Carbiener, Erica Rosbe, Aisha Porter-Christie, Judalina Neira and Zak Schwartz are executive co-producers.

“The Boys” proved to be a success for Amazon, with the show getting a renewal of the third season before the premiere of the second. According to Amazon, the second season had the most watched global release of an original Amazon series of all time.
