Blue Moose’s Prairie Village location, 4160 W. 71st Street, is no longer closing its doors forever.
Despite the announcement in early December that the bar and steakhouse would close its stores in Prairie Village on December 31, the restaurant announced on Monday that the community’s support demonstration along with the approval of a new round of federal relief COVID-19 for small businesses, encouraged homeowners to “look for ways to stay open”.
The economic impacts of COVID-19 have been detrimental to the establishment of decades, but a second round of funds delivered through the Payment Check Protection Program “must provide [Blue Moose] with the financial capacity to ”remain open, the statement said.
“Moose plans to do our part to keep Prairie Village safe and we can’t wait to be with everyone when the pandemic passes and we can all get back to our normal lives, which includes dinner and drinks at Blue Moose,” says the press release.
First, Washington Realty, the owner of Blue Moose, agreed to work with the company to “succeed in these difficult times,” according to the statement. First, Washington did not immediately respond to requests for comment on this story.
In addition, the restaurant is planning to launch a new menu and cocktail selection updates in the spring of 2021, as well as a larger patio, the statement said.
