Scosche BaseLynx modular charger

Modular Wireless Charger for Apple Wired Scosche Review 1

This is a really convenient multi-device charger that offers wireless and wired charging, as well as being modular to meet your exact needs. One of the options here is the Vert Charging module, which offers a very good organization for several iPads, tablets and other devices.

In the photo above, I’m using the BaseLynx Kit package that includes the Vert station, the wireless charging pad and the Apple Watch charger. But you can create an even larger modular charger configuration to power more than 10 devices, depending on your needs.

Here is a look at the main modules with this system:

The main disadvantage of the BaseLynx system is the price. The main kit shown above costs $ 170. Additional modules cost between $ 40 and $ 70. In short, you are looking at what is probably the most expensive multi-device charging solution.

Satechi Dock5

Best chargers for multiple devices for families with iPhone, iPad, more - Satechi Dock5

If you like the style of the Vert Dock module above, this is a very similar product at a much more affordable price. The Satechi Dock5 is not modular like the BaseLynx, but it offers an attractive overall value with solid organization and loading options.

You are getting 1 Qi wireless charger on the front with slots for four devices behind it that charge via 2 USB ports and 2 USB-C PD ports. They produce 20 W for each USB-C PD port and 12 W for USB-A ports. The Qi wireless pad offers 10W output.

Satechi manages to keep the price low here, as the cables are not included. But it also gives you flexibility if you already have what you need or want to customize the cables to your needs.

The Dock5 sells for $ 60 direct from Satechi, as well as from its store on Amazon.

Satechi also sells a dock style charger for 7 devices without the wireless charging pad on the front. That goes for the same $ 59.99 with cables sold separately.

Best charger for multiple devices within budget

A great budget option in this same line – but without the wireless charger – is the Hercules charging station for 6 devices. You are getting all USB-A here, but a lot of value as it includes cables at a very affordable price. The Hercules charging station is Amazon’s choice and has an average rating of 4.5 / 5 stars from almost 9,000 Amazon buyers.

Satechi 108W 4-port charger

Review the connected Satechi 108W USB-C desktop charger

If you are looking for the best charger for multiple devices that can be used in a cabinet or drawer to connect devices out of sight or maybe something to power notebooks, tablets and more for school and work at home on a desktop, the Satechi charger 108W 4-port is a solid option.

You are getting 2 USB-C PD ports – one that offers 90W output, and the other 18W plus two USB-A ports that provide an additional 12W.

This charger is great because it can charge everything from larger notebooks like Apple’s 16-inch MacBook Pro – at full speed – to older devices that need only a fraction of that power.

Better yet, this 4-port Satechi charger comes with a three-foot power cord for extra flexibility and is slightly larger than Apple’s own MacBook Pro charger.

And if you don’t need all the power that the 108 W model offers, Satechi manufactures a 75 W travel charger that also features the same 4-port design (2 USB-C, 2 USB-A).

The Satechi 108W 4-port charger typically costs $ 80, with the 75W model at a suggested price of $ 70.

Best multi-device charger – compact

If you prefer something more compact, RAVPower offers an advanced 4-port charger with a really slim design. It’s about half the size of the Apple charger and you’re getting 2 x USB-C and 2 x USB-A like the Satechi chargers above, but with a total output of 65W.

It also has the same three-foot power cord and works well with MacBooks, iPhones and everything in between. Remember that you will power 15- and 16-inch MacBook Pro notebooks a little bit slower with this charger.

The 4-port RAVPower 65W charger typically sells for $ 60.

ElevationLab FamilyCharger

ElevationLab FamilyCharger analyze connectors up close - Best chargers for multiple devices for families

This is a great charger for multiple wired devices that can power everything from Lightning, USB-C to microUSB devices.

The 3 included Lightning cables are made for iPhone / iPad (MFi, you also have 1 USB-C cable and 1 microUSB cable. It offers 52W of total power.

I’m not going to go into too much detail for now, because, unfortunately, it’s out of stock. But I am hopeful that ElevationLab will do more of these, as they are a nice and clean charging solution that includes cables and power supply.

Best cables

If you need some USB cables, the 6-12 inch sizes are suitable for dock chargers. Anker, Aukey, Satechi, all offer official Made for iPhone / iPad (MFi) options.

All three companies also manufacture a wide variety of solid cables in larger sizes.

You can find the cheapest ones out there, but it is usually worth making sure that you are getting MFi cables with good reviews.

Best multi-device chargers for finishing families

With the options above, I hope you have found the best multi-device charging solution for your budget and family needs, along with some ideas on how to bring a little organization into managing your devices.

If you’re looking for chargers for multiple stand-like devices, the new Belkin Boost Up Charge Pro with MagSafe is a smart new option, but more expensive. Belkin and others like Nomad, Mophie and others make some other excellent products. However, they are not always the most convenient for family use.
