CES 2021 is happening digitally this year and it hasn’t been as exciting as in previous years because many suppliers have chosen to leave. That said, some companies are still exhibiting some interesting Apple-related accessories that will be launched this year and that will be of interest to Mac, iPad and iPhone users.
Wireless CarPlay is on the rise and Pioneer has launched its new DMH-WC5700NEX receiver with support for both wired and wireless CarPlay. The upgraded receiver features a 6.8-inch touch screen and a hidden control unit for installation flexibility. It is coming this summer, and prices have not yet been detailed.
LG showed off a new UltraFine Display OLED Pro with a 31.5-inch screen, over 8 million pixels and individual HDR pixel dimming. It is LG’s first OLED monitor and, like other UltraFine monitors, it will be compatible with Apple Macs. LG also showed a new 39.7-inch 5K2K UltraWide monitor. Pricing and availability have not yet been announced.
Satechi’s Dock5 is a simple charging station that can accommodate up to five devices at the same time with two 20W USB-C ports, two 12W USB-A ports and a Qi-based wireless charger that supports up to 10W. It has an affordable price of $ 60 and can be purchased on the Satechi website.
The StudioDock is an iPad Pro docking station that includes carregamentoiPhone wireless charging and built-in AirPods, along with an optional Apple Watch charger to charge multiple Apple devices at once. It has three USB-A ports, a USB-C port, an HDMI 2.0 port, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, an SD card reader and a Gigabit Ethernet port. Kensington has not yet shared prices or a release date.
Dell showed the UltraSharp 40 Curved WUHD Monitor, which features a 40-inch curved screen with a resolution of 5120×2160. It has a 21: 9 aspect ratio and built-in Thunderbolt 3 connectivity to be able to work with Apple Macs. The UltraSharp 40 will be available on January 28 with prices starting at $ 2,100.
JBL launched the JBL Bar 5.0 Multibeam, a soundbar with AirPlay 2 that makes it ideal for Apple users. With AirPlay 2 support, sound can be transmitted wirelessly directly to the barraiPhone, iPad and Mac soundbar. JBL is launching the soundbar in the spring of 2021 and will be priced at $ 400.
Belkin has launched another MagSafe charging option, the Boost Charge Pro 2 in 1 wireless charger with MagSafe, which works with the Apple iPhone 12 line. It can charge a iPhone 12 and another device via its wireless charging base and is more affordable than the $ 99.95 3-in-1 version. It will be available in March or April.
Belkin’s Freedom True Wireless wireless earbuds under its Soundform brand are the first third-party headsets to offer integration with the Find My app. These headsets can be tracked alongside your Apple devices, in addition to offering eight hours of playback, environmental noise cancellation and Qi-based wireless charging. The price is unknown, but Belkin plans to launch the headphones in March or April.
