The balcony pirate aspirant is trapped in the snow after an attempted robbery in Mississauga, Ontario.

TORONTO – A Brampton, Ontario man is facing charges after he was allegedly caught stealing a package from a house on Monday and then was trapped in the snow while trying to escape from the scene.

It happened in Mississauga at approximately 2:40 pm in the Churchill Meadows and Erin Center Boulevard area, Peel Regional Police told CTV News Toronto.

The video of the incident appeared on Reddit.com on Tuesday and appears to show the 33-year-old suspect trying to escape with the package before the door to the house opens and the person filming can be heard saying, “There. You finished.”

The suspect then jumps in his car and tries to escape from the scene, before returning to a snow bank and getting stuck.

The man can then be seen getting in and out of the car trying to shovel snow and loosen the front wheels to no avail while the camera continues to roll.

The police finally arrived and arrested the man.

He was charged with a charge of fraud below $ 5,000 and a charge of theft below $ 5,000.

Peel Police said he was released under conditions and will appear in court at a later date.
