On Monday’s episode of The bachelor, Matt James woke up, realized he was no longer in tenth grade and did something quite admirable within the confines of his reality show bubble: he sent two contestants home after repeatedly hearing accusations of bullying and toxicity against them. Anna went first, and then the royal impersonator Victoria, with James stating in the episode that he wanted to ensure that each competitor had a “safe space” in the Pennsylvania desert, free from petty meanings. Debriefing about his decision on Good Morning America today, James said that although “strong emotions” are expected for a Bachelor competitor, “persistent” hostility and falsehoods are not, so he had no choice but to “act accordingly”.
“Any kind of cursing that people try to pass as a joke, but it is not a joke for the people who receive it,” he explained. “When it was reported to me, I had to act on it.” Anna, for example, claimed without foundation that competitor Brittany was an escort, while Victoria liked to call other women insults like hoes, losers and sluts. When asked why he didn’t choose to give the pair another chance, James said it was not worth chasing. “This opportunity does not allow for a second chance,” he replied. “You have a tight time, and when I see that my connection to you is starting to crumble, and when I see signs that are not what I’m looking for with my wife at that moment, then I have to act on that and focus my energy and efforts on women with whom I am forming strong connections. ”We are already fearing Women Tell Everything.
