The Arizonans respond to the reopening, some are worth security measures, others take precautions

The first weekend of clubs and bars fully open without restrictions.

“Leave early, we have been doing things all day,” says a club goer.

Events have emerged in celebration, some with a clear message. An event called “F COVID” held in Paris in Scottsdale, has a flyer that claims, without masks, no social distance and full capacity. People lined up there at 6:30 pm on Friday.

“To be out, to be with people, to celebrate and without masks”, says another frequenter of the club.

People who get a booth or table will be able to dance with their groups. The promoter of the weekend event, Luciano Cota, says that it took too long.

“For you to have our own government opening up the city and allowing us to do what we do, which is to bring people together, bring people to have fun and celebrate. You know, a week’s work and then you finally go back to a fully open club, we haven’t had that in over a year. That was probably what motivated us to follow this path, to follow that path ”, says Luciano Cota, Surge Nights, event management.

Cota said that the event he has for Sunday is already sold out. This is leading many people to plan their weekend plans in advance.

“Excitement, relief, especially when it comes to mental health and getting back to social, interacting with people and getting back to normal, like living life,” says Paris Prynkiewicz, Scottsdale resident.

Richard Schmitz says that he recently moved to Scottsdale, this will be the first time that he will see it fully open.

“I can’t wait to go out, see my friends go to some new places, check out the scene and start living my life again, a year ago,” said Scottsdale resident Richard Schmitz.

Although people are celebrating, there will still be some adherence, but taking precautions.

“I think it depends on people. There are people who believe in COVID, there are people who do not, ”says Cota.
