Respawn Entertainment took a first look at the new Legend Fuse and its skills in action, in addition to the destruction of Kings Canyon, in the Apex Legends season 8 launch trailer.
Fuse, real name Walter Fitzroy is the eighth post-launch Legend to join the Apex games, bringing the total to 16 – double what the game had at launch.
As his name implies, his skills are all about explosives, and he is a character who explodes first, asks questions later. Coming from Salvo – a new planet we just discovered – he also brings a new weapon with him, the 30-30 repeater.
The launch trailer, released on January 21, gives us our first look at two main parts of next season: Fuse’s skill kit and Kings Canyon’s new look.

Fusion skills in Apex Legends
Although not fully explained, this trailer gives us a look at Fuse using his skills, which he will have in Apex games.
His ultimate, which was already provoked in the game, sees him drop a bomb similar to a mortar, which then explodes in flames, causing damage to anyone nearby.
We can also see him launch grenades from his arm, which will be his tactical skill.

Fuse can drop explosives from his mechanical arm.
Kings Canyon
The unification of Salvo with the Union was supposed to be a joyous occasion, but Fuse’s old friends are certainly not happy about it – and decided to invade the party.
This left Kings Canyon in ruins – ready for a new season of major map changes. Respawn has become an expert in incorporating the wisdom of the game into real gameplay, and this is just one more example of this.
In the trailer, it looks like Artillery and Slum Lakes were destroyed, but we may have to wait until the game trailer to see the full extent of the damage.
Season 8 will be released on consoles, PC and possibly Nintendo Switch on February 2.
