The Apex Legends Fight Night update removes the caustic buff, adds the Horizon nerf

The Apex Legends Fight Night event update aired on January 5, bringing with it many new cosmetics, a Town Takeover for Pathfinder, a new heritage and other changes as well, including Legends buffs and nerfs.

After months of speculation and leaks, Respawn Entertainment finally launched the Fight Night Collection event, which focuses on Pathfinder, on Tuesday, January 5th.

The event is like previous collection events where you can get new skins, cosmetics, a long-awaited heritage for Gibraltar, and enjoy a new limited mode, Airdrop Escalation.

While some of these changes are temporary, there are also some more lasting changes in two of the Legends, as Respawn has finally given Rampart a much-anticipated boost.

Rampart

Starting with Rampart, she will get a slight buff on the Fight Night update, thanks to a change in waiting time on her Amped Cover.

Instead of waiting 30 seconds for the tactical ability to recharge, the Rampart network now only needs to wait 20 seconds. However, it will take about three seconds for you to actually place a piece of Amped Cover.

Rampart will finally see some changes in Apex Legends.

There are no other real buffs for the defensive legend, but, reappearance also fixed two bugs that have been hurting her – including one where players’ screens changed when using the Sheila mini-array.

Horizon

Horizon was not included in the original draft of the patch notes that were released prior to the release of the update, but the developers made a last-second exchange that saw the Season 7 Legend receive a change as well.

The effective cooldown of your Gravity Lift has been increased, from 16 to 21 seconds, which means that it will take another five seconds now to obtain the ability after using it.

Horizon was added to the Apex Legends Fight Night update notes at the last second.

Caustic

A slight controversy surrounding Caustic saw the Toxic Trapper removed from the patch notes after Respawn initially planned to make a change to his Nox Gas Trap Cooldown.

Originally, the cooldown would be reduced to 20 seconds, an adjustment that got some negative feedback from the community when it was developed by Senior Game Designer, Daniel Klein.

However, when the update was released on January 5, the developers ended up canceling the adjustment, choosing to implement the above change in Horizon.

The caustic gas traps will be changed in the new update.

Weapons: Hemlok, Mastiff, Prowler

In terms of weapon changes, Hemlok, Mastiff and Prowler were also changed – with the first two nerfs receiving and Prowler receiving an ever so light buff.

O Prowler’s buff is not for your damage or range, but reserve bullets, as it has been increased to 210 out of 175. As for Hemlok, its damage was nerfed from 22 to 20.

O Mastiff’s Lead propagation was changed for the third and fourth rounds – reducing the range from 10 degrees to 7.5.

As mentioned before, there are also a number of bug changes, in order to eliminate problems with each caption.

These changes focused on Bangalore, Bloodhound, Crypto, Mirage, Loba, Horizon, Revenant, Rampart and Revenant, and you can check out the full patch notes on here.
