The 825-HP 2021 Shelby Super Snake Speedster is a medium roofless Mustang

It’s been a long time since the last time Shelby’s Super Snake roamed the streets. But now, six years after Ford’s Mustang renewal, the Super Snake is back in business, both in fastback and convertible versions. This time, however, something is different. The Convertible Super Snake is now a strictly limited edition Speedster and possibly the most beautiful S550 sold today.

The Super Snake Speedster becomes this way by exchanging its rear seats for a tonneau cover and optional harness bar, achieving the appearance of exotic Europeans in the form of an American pony car. Style isn’t everything you steal from supercars; he also claims his performance with a 5.0-liter supercharged Coyote V8 Whipple, which howls into space debris blocking the moon through a Borla exhaust. In addition to extra heat – eliminated through improved cooling and ram air hood – it generates 825 horsepower, which travels via a manual or automatic transmission to the rear axle, jumping this coiled snake from zero to 60 miles per hour in 3.5 seconds.

Stepping on the Brembo brakes will shift the weight forward on the readjusted Ford Performance track suspension or in an optional, adjustable Penske configuration, both keeping your Michelin Pilot Sport 4S rubber on the track. The surrounding 20-inch forged aluminum alloys are encased in an optional large aluminum body, which together with functional aerodynamic adjustments – divider, skirts, diffuser, spoiler – differentiate Super Snakes from smaller Mustangs.

Various Shelby badges and optional stripes adorn the exterior, while the interior is dotted with Shelby motifs on the carpets, door sills and gauges. Like all other Shelby’s, the panel is crowned with a serial number plate, which is sure to impress with zero dates.
