LAS VEGAS – Circa Resort & Casino’s 777-room tower is officially open.
More than a month after downtown casino mogul Derek Stevens opened the resort’s casino to the public, the hotel’s tower is now accommodating guests in rooms.
“They say to save the best for last,” Stevens said in a statement.
Here’s a look inside the first new resort built in the city center in decades:
Founders Suites
The Founders suites are located on the top three floors of Circa, offering a clear view of the Las Vegas Valley and the Strip.
These two-bedroom suites average 1,831 square feet. Each includes a bar, a fridge and a flat-screen TV adjacent to the floor-to-ceiling windows.
Rooms include large bathrooms, separate vanities, flat-screen HDTVs and seating close to the city view.
Standard Rooms
Circa’s standard rooms range from 403 to 752 square feet, accented with shades of navy and sapphire, geometric pattern rugs and walnut.
Rooms offer king-size single or double beds, almost ceiling-height headboards, refrigerators, and 55-inch flat-screen TVs.
In Circa’s 360-degree rooms, a king-size bed is placed in the center and surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows and amenities.
Suites
Circa’s suites range from 822 to 1,612 square feet. They include large living rooms, floor-to-ceiling windows, living room furniture, black quartz dining table, full bar and refrigerator. In each room there is a 65 inch HDTV.
The bathrooms have large showers, water cabinets and double sinks.
Some suites include modern Inova beds hidden in the walls that unfold to make room for more guests.
The color scheme is based on “velvety midnight blues”.
Suites and pillows with bunk beds
These suites are designed for large groups. Sizes range from 713 to 1,362 square feet.
The suites and “pads” have two soft bunk beds that accommodate four people, in addition to living rooms, dining rooms, wet bar, refrigerator and loader for each bed.
Long time coming
Circa owner Derek Stevens previously planned to launch the entire Circa package in December, but the social distance requirements at the construction site following COVID-19 forced him to change the schedule.
Restrictions on the number of people allowed on elevators limited the number of workers allowed on the upper floors of the hotel’s tower. Stevens worked with construction contractors to focus on the first five floors and push for an opening earlier.
“We took the hand we were given and tried to work as efficiently as possible,” Stevens told USA TODAY.
The 44-story resort casino opened to the public on October 28.
Here’s what else you’ll find at Circa Resort & Casino:
Amphitheater pool
The multi-tiered pool amphitheater is temperature controlled and includes a 134 by 41 foot video screen.
Stevens is presenting the aquatic center as a “destination pool” – a place that will be at the top of tourist lists when they pass Sin City.
Restaurants
Guests will have access to several new restaurants, including: Saginaw’s Delicatessen, Victory Burger and Wings, Project BBQ and Barry’s Downtown Prime.
Two-story casino and sports betting
Circa’s two-story casino will feature 1,350 slot machines, 49 table games and what Stevens is advertising as the world’s largest sportsbook.
With a capacity for 1,000 guests, the stadium-style sportsbook includes a 78 million pixel high-definition screen that can be seen throughout Circa’s two-story casino.
