Alina Valenzuela’s family said they did not believe it because she is an active, healthy young woman with no underlying health problems.
“She is so, she is so full of life. She is loud. She is funny. She is brave,” said her aunt Miriam Trevino.

But the seventh grader is unconscious and intubated at Texas Children’s Hospital after being transported from San Antonio to Houston on January 15.
Trevino said his niece had cardiac arrest after complaining of chest pain. She said doctors already diagnosed myocarditis in the seventh year, which is an inflammation of the heart, and doctors said it was caused by the coronavirus.
“Her heart is not working alone now,” said Trevino. “They told us that they are connecting everything to COVID-19.”

Trevino said his niece’s decline in health improved rapidly, just days after playing a game of basketball at his school.
The teenager is the captain of her volleyball team, has no underlying health problems and never had the classic symptoms of COVID-19, but tested positive at the hospital.
“It is difficult for us to understand and understand what is happening because she is very energetic and athletic and has never been a sick child,” said Trevino.
Her family told ABC13 that the teenager had undergone two cardiac surgeries in the past few days. The first surgery was to install a small heart pump and then a restriction.
