Texas AG Paxton won in court the 100-day freeze on Biden’s deportation: ‘Nobody is above the law’

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton joined Fox News Primetime on Wednesday to discuss a federal judge’s decision to order a temporary suspension of President Biden’s 100-day deportation freeze.

The US District Judge Drew Tipton’s decision follows a lawsuit filed by Paxton last week.

“We opened this process for a few reasons,” Paxton told host Maria Bartiromo. “Um, we had an agreement, [with] Texas and Homeland Security, that they would not make any major changes to immigration policy without telling us enough to adjust. Second, federal law specifically requires deportations to occur if people are here illegally, and this president has decided to ignore what has been passed by Congress … what we then think is a violation of the United States Constitution. “

The moratorium established by Judge Tipton will last a total of 14 days, but Paxton is confident that the decision will open the eyes of other Attorney Generals across the country.

KEN PAXTON: It sends a signal that these courts, these judges are open to hearing about the law and what is really going on. And then I would encourage my fellow attorney generals across the country to look at what’s going on, and whether it’s executive orders or just decrees, no one is above the law, including the president … I’m hoping that many prosecutors The general in the whole country will say, “No, we cannot allow that to happen in our state.”

We have all kinds of problems with that. We are a border state, we had a president previously who was dealing with this issue. Effectively, we are starting to make progress with the wall, which shows great results. We did not have these mass migrations from Central America. That was practically interrupted … It is an open invitation to come to our state and then move to America. This is a big cost for Texans in many ways.
