The Houston Texans have no interest in negotiating the disgruntled quarterback Deshaun Watson and are refusing any team to call.
Despite rumors that Watson requested an exchange last month, the Texans told any team they contacted that they have no plans to change it, ESPN reported on Sunday.

Watson, who was drafted by the Texans in 2017, signed a $ 156 million four-year contract extension in September. He ended the 2020 NFL season with 4,823 passing yards, 33 touchdowns and seven interceptions, the lowest point in his career, but that did not translate into wins for the Texans who finished 4-14
The turning point for Watson seemed to be when the team hired new general manager Nick Caserio without his contribution. Since then, the hiring of new coach David Culley has not affected Watson’s desire to be negotiated, according to several reports.

Culley said during his press conference that he became Houston’s next head coach, knowing that Watson would be the defender.
“He’s the quarterback for the Houston Texans, and that’s all I care about,” Culley told reporters after Watson removed any reference to Texans from his social gatherings.
“All I know is this … He is a Houston Texan. And I wanted to be a Houston Texan. And the reason I am in this position today is because I knew he would be a Houston Texan. The external things that were being said is irrelevant to me. “

The Texans continued to make changes to the team, including the dismissal of football managing director Kevin Krajcovic and equipment manager Mike Parson and his team, according to ESPN.
