The Houston Texans have one less running back.
Duke Johnson was released, according to a source with knowledge of the movement. It is no surprise, as Johnson had an unsecured salary of $ 4.65 million in 2021. He was also expected to earn another $ 500,000 through a training bonus and bonus per game worth up to $ 400,000.
Johnson spent four years in Cleveland before a negotiation sent him to Houston in 2019. He had 235 running yards and 249 receiving yards in 11 games last season.
