Tesla Inc (NASDAQ: TSLA) Elon Musk said on Monday that the automaker’s Plaid S was his “best car of all time”.
What happened: Further elaborating, the businessman noted on Twitter the vehicle’s ability to accelerate from zero to 60 miles per hour in less than two seconds and that it would accommodate up to seven people.
It is not immediately clear whether Musk is referring to the Plaid S or Plaid S Plus model.
The new Plaid S is our best car ever. It will be the first production car to reach 0-60 mph in less than 2 seconds and has four doors and seats for up to 7 people.

The billionaire businessman also confirmed that he took a trip through most of the United States with two adults and five children in an S model.
Why it matters: Musk’s tweet fueled the possibility that future Model S sedans would feature optional rear seats.

The regular Model S Plaid costs $ 119,900. This month, Tesla increased the price of the Plaid Plus variant by $ 10,000, to $ 149,990. This version of the Model S uses the company’s new 4680 battery cell.
Deliveries of the Model S Plaid Plus have been delayed until the middle of next year.
Price action: Tesla shares closed almost 2.3% higher at $ 670 on Monday.
