Elon Musk responded to criticism from a former US presidential candidate by appealing to what could be called universal values.
What happened: United States Senator Bernie Sanders on Thursday tweeted: “We are at a time in American history when two guys – Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos – own more wealth than the 40% of the poorest population in this country. This level of greed and inequality is not just immoral. It is unsustainable.”
In response, the Tesla Inc (NASDAQ: TSLA) CEO tweeted: “I am accumulating resources to help make life multiplanetary and extend the light of consciousness to the stars.”
