Tesla is ‘fixing some bugs’ in the big holiday update, Elon Musk says it’s still coming

Elon Musk is causing a major software update for Tesla owners during the holidays.

With only a week left in the year, Tesla owners are looking forward to seeing it, but Musk confirms that it is still coming and Tesla is just “fixing some bugs”.

Tesla is constantly promoting new software updates over-the-air for its fleet, with improvements to existing features and new features.

These are often minor changes, but Tesla also occasionally bundles several changes and features into a major update, marking a new “version” of its software.

The last was the Tesla v10 launched in September last year.

It brought user interface changes, Tesla Theater, Caraoke and many improvements to existing features within Tesla vehicles for free.

Now, such a release, or at least a major software update, is expected from Tesla any day, as CEO Elon Musk has announced a ‘fire’ update with new surprise features and more coming over the holidays.

With only a few days left in the year, Musk was asked on Twitter if the software update was still coming and the CEO confirmed that:

Surprisingly, the update’s features did not leak through Tesla’s early access program (EAP) and it is unclear whether Tesla is really “fixing the bugs” by testing its EAP fleet.

All we know is that Tesla is expected to release “many” features that have been requested – along with new features that we don’t yet know about, according to Musk’s previous comment on the update:

“So many things you want and some you didn’t know you wanted.”

When it comes to features that have been requested, Musk has been talking about many features over the past year that have not yet reached Tesla vehicles – making them likely candidates to be included in the holiday release, which could be the new v11 update. from Tesla.

For example, the CEO has been talking about Tesla offering an overhead view feature via its Autopilot camera in the FSD package.

He also mentioned that Tesla will launch a native video conferencing feature in its cars.

Musk had also previously spoken about Tesla vehicles ‘soon’ being able to speak to people around him through his external speaker.

The CEO also said that Tesla should expand its upgrade from the Full Self-Driving Beta to the broadest fleet in the United States and Canada by the end of the year.
