Tesla changes vehicle prices by up to $ 10,000 in the Web update

For the second time in less than a month, Tesla Motors (NASDAQ: TSLA) adjusted its prices on several of its models. In a nightly update to its online configurator reported by the electric vehicle industry (EV) website Electrek on Thursday morning, Tesla made these changes to several of its models and finishes.

The price of the Model 3 Standard Range Plus increased by $ 500 to $ 37,490; the previous price was $ 36,990. On the other hand, the long-range finish of the same model has cut the price by the same amount, dropping to $ 46,490. No adjustments were made to the Performance of Model 3, which remains at $ 55,990.

The biggest change was made to the Tesla Model S Plaid +, a car that has not yet reached the market. When this happens, it will cost the consumer $ 149,990 – $ 10,000 above the $ 139,990 that the company had previously established. Meanwhile, the S Long Range AWD model and checkered finishes keep their prices at $ 79,990 and $ 119,990, respectively.

Since early Thursday morning, Tesla had not changed the prices of its Model Y or Model X SUVs.

In contrast to existing car manufacturers, Tesla sells its vehicles directly to consumers, rather than through a vast network of third-party dealerships. As such, it can define and establish uniform prices for these automobiles, although they are subject to adjustments if and when the company deems it appropriate.

As with other price adjustments, Tesla did not comment on this.

The company had a good day on the stock exchange on Thursday. It rose 4.7%, well overcoming the 1% increase in S&P 500 index.
