Tennessee opened its spring rugby season on March 13 at the Nashville Rugby Club.
The Nashville Rugby Club defeated Vols 8-5.
Tennessee was scheduled to play in South Carolina on Saturday after the match in Nashville. The Volleyball match in South Carolina has been canceled.
Tennessee will return to action on March 27 against the Nashville Rugby Club. The match will take place in Knoxville, Tennessee Rugby Park. It is expected to start at 1 pm EDT.

The University of Tennessee has set up a rugby team since 1970.
Tennessee’s first official rugby match took place on October 31, 1970 in Huntsville, Alabama, against the Redstone Rugby Club. UT defeated Redstone Rugby Club, 8-6, and ended the inaugural year 1970-71 with a record of 13-3-3.
