The hunt for a 70-year-old suspect for the murder of two duck hunters ended on Saturday afternoon after the man’s body was found in a Tennessee lake, investigators said.
David Vowell, from Martin, Tennessee, was considered armed and dangerous.
His body was found at about 3 pm in the murky waters of Lake Reelfoot in Obion County, near Chance Black, 26, and Zachary Grooms, 25, were shot on Monday, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said.

Obion County District Attorney Tommy Thomas told WREG-TV last week amid the human hunt that investigators spoke to a third hunter who was in the same blindness as the victims when the incident occurred. However, Thomas said he could not comment on what led to the shooting.
Vowell appears to have fled the scene on foot, while investigators told media outlets that a vehicle and a boat belonging to the suspect were seized near the boat ramp on the lake.
Authorities accused Vowell of two counts of first-degree murder while the search, aided by the US Marshalls, intensified.
Bureau of Investigation agents were also assisted by the Tennessee Highway Patrol, the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency, the Madison County Fire Department and the Obion County Sheriff’s Office.
The office posted video and images of agents searching the swampy and rugged terrain.
