Tencent Announces a New Open-World Cooperative Survival RPG Shooter, Undawn

Tencent Games announced Undawn; a new open-world cooperative action game created by the development studio and team members responsible for PUBG MOBILE. Set in a dangerous and unforgiving world, where players must fight for survival against the dual threats of zombies and other humans, Undawn will be released for iOS, Android and PC later this year.

Rick Li, executive producer at Lightspeed & Quantum Studios, said:

“With Undawn, we wanted to create a new type of action game that combines open world freedom with RPG elements that completely redefine the genre, regardless of the platform. The fact that we have created such an incredible experience for mobile and PC platforms means that even more players around the world will be able to survive the apocalypse together, creating the potential for a huge new type of open world experience. “

Undawn promises to combine Player vs Player (PvP) and Player vs Environment (PvE) gameplay. In addition, it promises to offer a new vision of the open world survival experience.

To survive in this huge environment, players will scour resources, create better supplies and weapons, and battle with undead and very alive enemies. To thrive, players must team up with others to build exclusive shelters, negotiate resources and establish property to protect themselves from the violent undead.

Finally, the game will use Unreal Engine 4 and aims to have great open world environments.

Stay tuned for more!
