Tekken 7 adds new fighter Lidia Sobieska, the Prime Minister of Poland

Tekken 7The newest character of is original: the violent Prime Minister of Poland. No, not Mateusz Morawiecki, the current prime minister of the real world of Poland, but Lidia Sobieska, a fictional karate / politics master. She is coming to the Tekken franchise this week as downloadable content for Tekken 7.

Lidia found herself involved in the King of Iron Fist tournament thanks to the intrusion of Mishima Zaibatsu, Heihachi’s multinational conglomerate, a long-standing Tekken antagonist, in her native Poland, according to her official biography:

Lídia has always been an honest and determined woman. She believes that justice requires absolute power, which is why she showed great interest in karate from a very young age. The loss of the father sparked his interest in the family’s political tradition. Lídia showed great qualities in both areas, entering and winning her first world karate championship at the age of 18, and more recently being one of the youngest rising stars in the Polish political arena. The war started by Mishima Zaibatsu is affecting Poland a lot and she is committed to resolving the situation with her own fists.

Lidia fights using karate, so fans of fighters like Mokoto from Street Fighter or Hitomi from Dead or Alive will feel right at home with her. It is included as part of Tekken 7Season 4 passes, as does the new Island Paradise stage of the game. Both add-ons will be officially launched on March 23.

You can see Lidia in action (on the Island Paradise stage) in the launch trailer below.
