Teenage mother cries, admits to starving her baby daughter 6 days while she left town for PARTY – Crime Online

On Friday, a British woman confessed in court that she caused the death of her 20-month-old daughter in 2019, leaving the child alone at home for six days.

Verphy Kudi, 19, pleaded guilty to the Lewes Crown Court for manslaughter. The BBC reported that when Kudi was 18, his daughter, Asiah Kudi, died of negligence in a home in Brighton before being transported to the hospital.

Verphy Kudi reportedly left Asiah Kudi alone for six days while she celebrated her 18th birthday in London, Coventry and Solihul. The Daily Mail reported that the child had no food or water at that time.

Although child protection services were not involved with the family, the media reported that the apartment where the other and the daughter lived was run by a charity that helps vulnerable families. The organization is said to have said that the units are not regularly inspected, although staff are always present at the complex’s entrance.

According to the Daily Mail, CCTV showed Verphy Kudi leaving the apartment before she traveled about 150 miles to the party. Upon returning home, Verphy Kudi asked for help and said his daughter would not wake up. The child was pronounced dead in a hospital.

Housing complex officials contacted the police after analyzing CCTV images that suggested that Verphy Kudi had left Asiah Kudi alone for several days before his death. A post-mortem examination confirmed that the girl was hungry, dehydrated and with the flu.

Verphy Kudi’s sentence is scheduled for May 28, but the hearing may be postponed for undisclosed reasons.
