Ted Cruz criticizes “rich” Seth Rogen after the actor calls him “fascist” in a fight over Biden’s climate promise in Paris

One of several executive orders signed by President Biden during his first day at the White House resulted in a Twitter feud between Senator Ted Cruz, R-TX, and actor Seth Rogen.

Rogen released his fury at Cruz on Wednesday, shortly after the Texas senator rejected Biden’s promise to return to the Paris Climate Agreement.

“By re-joining the Paris Climate Agreement, President Biden indicates that he is more interested in the opinions of the citizens of Paris than in the jobs of the citizens of Pittsburgh. This agreement will do little to affect the climate and harm the lives of Americans.” Cruz tweeted.

The tweet prompted Rogen to respond directly to Cruz with profanity: “Fuck you fascist.”

Cruz, however, did not like it and took the opportunity to criticize the actor of “Long Shot”.

“Charming, civilized and polite response,” Cruz teased Rogen sarcastically. “If you are a rich and furious Hollywood celebrity, today’s Dems are the party for you. If you are a worker, if you are a member of a union, if you work with energy or manufacturing … not so much. “

The tweet did not go unnoticed by the actor, who again criticized Cruz, calling him a “clown”.

“Haha fuck with a fascist. Go encourage a white supremacy uprising again, you clown,” Rogen fired back.

In another tweet, the actor wrote: “If you are a white supremacist fascist who doesn’t find it offensive when someone calls your wife ugly, Ted Cruz is the exact son of a bitch for you.”

“I’m also in four unions,” joked Rogen.

The Paris Climate Agreement was one of more than a dozen executive orders that Biden signed after taking office as president on January 20. Several executive orders reversed Trump’s actions during his tenure, such as returning to the World Health Organization.

In 2017, Rogen gave an interview where he discussed the need to strike a balance between speaking out against President Trump and not demeaning those who voted for him.

“I don’t want to look back in 10 years and think, ‘I just didn’t say anything during that time’, because it seems like it’s a time when normalizing dissent is very important,” Rogen told the Daily Beast in a comprehensive interview.

He added that he tried to be “very aware” of not insulting Trump supporters.

“I think it’s just normalizing the idea that a lot of people don’t think he’s a good president, and they don’t think he’s taking the country in a good direction, and not making it look like a fringe, something that only really aggressive people who have gone into some kind of frenzy are expressing, “said the actor.

The comedian, who was born in Canada and moved to the United States in 1999, at the time joked that if things don’t go well he can always go back.

“I have a totally different country where I can go. These are jokes, obviously. I am not leaving America,” he said, adding “It doesn’t take a genius or a particularly creative mind to point out how blatantly stupid and contradictory things are.”
