Tech Takes invitation in South Carolina this weekend – Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets

THE PLANS – Georgia Tech athletics is back on the road this weekend for a Week 5 bout at the South Carolina Invitational on Saturday, February 6.

The indoor competition is scheduled to start at 11am (EST) and will feature a handful of competitive teams, including host South Carolina, Alabama, Alabama State, Auburn, Clemson, Georgia Tech, Florida, Furman, Kentucky, North Carolina A&T and Ole Miss.

Saturday’s action will be broadcast live on SEC Network +. The live results of the invitation can be found here.

At the time of publication, Tech currently has four women and two men ranked in the top 25 at their respective events.

Nicole Fegans holds the highest individual ranking for the jackets, with 8th place in the ranking of 5000m in the country at 16:06.50, a mark she won in the Carolina Challenge two weeks ago.

Liz Galarza is ranked 17th in the 3000m, having timed 9: 24.36 at Bob Pollock’s invitation from last weekend. Taylor Grimes ranks 20th in the nation in the 60m hurdles, with a time of 8.31 at Bob Pollock’s invitation. Olivia Moore he also broke among the top 25 in the pole vault at Bob Pollock Invite, having passed the 4.10m / 13’5.25 ″ mark.

At the end of men’s things, jumper Cameron O’Neal (7.61m / 24’11.75 ″) occupies the 13th place in the long jump, while the long distance runner Andrew Kent is the 24th in the mile at 4: 05.92.
