Fans can mark their calendar and set their DVRs, because the game and game time are set for the Oregon State Beavers men’s basketball team Elite Eight in the NCAA Tournament.
12th-placed Beavers will face second-placed Houston Cougars at 4:15 pm PDT on Monday in the Midwest Region final. The game will be broadcast on CBS (KOIN 6 in the Portland area). The prize for the winner is a seat in the Final Four.
The Beavers advanced to the round of 16 by winning fifth place in Tennessee, fourth place in Oklahoma State and eighth place in Loyola Chicago.
Houston made his run for the regional final by beating Cleveland State No. 15, Rutgers No. 10 and Syracuse No. 11. Cougars defeated Orange 62-46 on Saturday night and will now face their fourth consecutive double-digit seed.
