Taylor Swift made history with her third album win of the year for Folklore at the 63rd annual Grammy Awards on Sunday evening (March 14).
Candice Fox, bartender at the Hotel Cafe in Los Angeles, presented the Big Four tribute outside the Staples Center. Swift and her Folklore collaborators, Aaron Dessner and Jack Antonoff of National, accompanied Swift on stage to receive the award. Dessner started the acceptance speeches thanking his family and reflecting on “staying here with one of the greatest living composers who somehow trusted me to collaborate in this crazy time that we all live in.”
“I want to thank all of my collaborators who are on stage,” said Swift in his acceptance speech. “But mostly, we just want to thank the fans. You guys got to know us in this imaginary world that we created, and we can’t say how honored we are forever for that. Thank you so much, and thanks for recording Academia. We will never forget that you did it for us . Thank you very much. “
