Taylor Swift will not reschedule ‘Lover Fest’ programs

The star took to social media on Friday to announce the change, which affects shows postponed from 2020 to 2021.
Last April, Swift canceled all live shows and performances for the rest of the year in what she said was an effort to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

“I’m sorry, but I can’t reschedule the shows we’ve postponed,” she wrote on Friday. “Although refunds have been available since we postponed Lover Fest shows, many of you kept your tickets and I also kept the idea that we could reschedule.

Swift joins other artists who canceled or rescheduled tour dates, such as Justin Bieber, Niall Horan and Bad Bunny.

Taylor said in her statement that she is disappointed to have to cancel.

“This is an unprecedented pandemic that has changed everyone’s plans and no one knows what the touring landscape will be like in the near future,” she wrote. “… I miss you terribly and can’t wait until we can all be safe at shows together again.”

Despite not being able to see the fans live, Swift surprised them earlier this month by announcing that he will release a re-recording of one of his first albums, “Fearless”, on April 9.

She has already released “Folklore” and “Evermore”, two re-recorded albums that were released during the pandemic.

Despite canceling his postponed “Lover Fest” shows, Swift received six Grammy nominations, with the potential to win the album of the year in 2021.
