Taylor Swift says goodbye to 2020 in giant bear costume: ‘It’s Been Weird’

Both LPs debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 and earned Swift their seventh and eighth consecutive first album in their career. (Folklore in particular, it has spent eight non-consecutive weeks in first place since its launch in July, and became the first and only studio set this year to sell over a million copies in October.)

Meanwhile, the first single from each studio set – Folkloreit’s cozy “Cardigan” and Everthe witch “Willow” – also reached the top of the Billboard Hot 100 after launch, making her the first artist in Advertising panel story to debut at the top of the two charts simultaneously, not once, but twice.

And as if releasing two surprise albums during a pandemic wasn’t enough, Swift also revealed The Long Pond Studio Sessions at Disney +, and continues to work hard to re-record the first five albums from his previous catalog, following the ongoing saga about the ownership of his masters with Scooter Braun and his former record boss Scott Borchetta. Although Tay has yet to reveal when any of these re-recorded projects will be ready, she gave fans a preview of the updated version of “Love Story” in early December, thanks to a hilarious Match.com ad directed by her friend Ryan Reynolds.
