Taylor Swift releases video with ‘Love Story’ lyrics rewritten

Taylor Swift released the full version of her re-recording of “Love Story”, the first single from her updated recording from her 2008 album Fearless. The new version of the song was triggered for the first time in a commercial for Match.

While the song tells the story of lost lovers that culminates in a fairy tale ending, the love story that the lyrical video portrays is the love between artists and fans. The charming and captivating clip features photos and videos of Swift’s performance, scenes behind the scenes, as well as his encounter and pose with fans throughout his career.

Swift announced it would launch Fearless (Taylor version) as the first of his six albums re-recorded on Thursday Good Morning America, revealing the track list and cover art next to it. The new album will include Fearless’20 original songs (19 tracks from the Platinum edition and “Today Is a Fairytale”), plus six newly recorded songs that Swift had written at the time of Fearless between 13 and 16 years of age.

Although Swift has not officially given a release date for the album, she posted a written statement on Twitter that included a hidden message in capital letters, spelling “Ninth of April”. A Swift representative later confirmed the launch date for Rolling Stone.

Swift announced for the first time that he would re-record his first six albums in August 2019, following the multi-million dollar acquisition of his original originals by Scooter Braun. Braun took ownership of Swift’s original recordings after his company Ithaca Holdings acquired Big Machine Label Group, the label that released all Swift albums until 2017 Reputation. Swift has repeatedly claimed that neither Braun nor Scott Borchetta, the founder of Big Machine and the man who hired her for the label as a teenager, gave her a fair chance to acquire the property of her masters, so she chose to re-record it first six albums.
