Taya Valkyrie signs contract with WWE

Taya Valkyrie is referred to NXT

Former IMPACT Wrestling Knockouts champion Taya Valkyrie signed a contract with WWE.

According to PWInsider, Valkyrie has agreed to the terms of a deal with WWE, and will begin under the NXT banner. It should be part of the next WWE Performance Center class.

Valquíria was on the last set of recordings on TV NXT, it is not known if she was simply backstage or finalizing the details of the contract.

Triple H recently noted that the next class at the WWE Performance Center will have the biggest “female talent quotient yet”

During a recent virtual meet-and-greet, Taya Valkyrie talked about her departure from IMPACT and discussed her future in pro-wrestling.

“Well, I really like both products (AEW and WWE). I’m obviously a fan of wrestling, I always have been. There are a lot of people who start fighting [that] are fans of wrestling, surprise, and honestly, I don’t know what’s going to happen to me because a lot of people don’t realize it’s that I was hired for about eight and a half years by AAA for Lucha Underground for IMPACT and this is actually my first time in my career as a free agent. So, it is a very important moment for me to really think about what is important to me, to my family and to make the best decision in the future of my career. So, we’ll see. It will all be over, don’t worry. “

Taya Valkyrie’s contract with IMPACT Wrestling expired in late 2020. She appeared on IMPACT’s schedule last month, making her last appearance for promotion in a backstage segment. She admitted that it was the brain behind the murder of Jon E. Bravo’s plot before being led out of the building.

It is not known if she will keep the same ring name once she starts in WWE. In December, she registered the name Taya Valkyrie to be used in pro-wrestling. Due to WWE not being able to own the name, they can change it, but that is simply speculation at this point.

She currently holds the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship, defeating Tessa Blanchard in 2019. Previously, she held the title for a record 914 days, before losing it in 2017. It is not known how the AAA plans to deal with her recent signing with WWE.

Valkyrie is married to current Monday Night RAW star John Hennigan, better known as John Morrison.
