Publisher Playism and developer Oribtal Express have released the official trailer for the story of the 3D action-adventure game with “Oriental Fantasy” theme TASOMACHI: Behind the dusk.
Here is an overview of the game, via Playism:
TASOMACHI: Behind the dusk is a laid-back 3D platform game that is meant to relax and explore a sleepy Far East themed world to your heart’s content, collecting items while navigating the platform sections and completing NPC requests.
One day, the young heroine Yukumo’s airship breaks down mid-flight, landing in an enigmatic and abandoned city. Help the only remaining inhabitants, the strange but adorable cats from the Nezu Tribe, and fulfill their many requests in exchange for valuable items and resources.
Each new item helps to repair Yukumo’s airship, earn new upgrades and unlock stylish outfits. Pilot the aircraft through the skies of this mysterious city and explore more than an inspiring world, full of temples, landscapes and icons that are inspired by diverse cultures and extraordinary geography. Explore the world to the soundtrack of Ujico, a Japanese musician with over 1 million subscribers on YouTube and 600,000 monthly listeners on Spotify.
The developer nocras launches its debut title after contributing 2D and 3D art to many of Japan’s biggest games of the 2010s. His work includes 3D design in Final Fantasy XIII-2 and Final Fantasy XIV; 2D artwork for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Xenoblade Chronicles 2; and field map design for Pokémon Sword and Shield. He developed his skills and experience in these games, all in preparation for his independent debut.
TASOMACHI: Behind the dusk will be released for PC via Steam this spring / 2nd quarter of 2021. It will support Japanese, English and Chinese (simplified and traditional) language options.
