The target is recalling some popular children’s clothing after discovering a possible choking hazard.
The chain is collecting about 480,000 pieces of clothing from its Cat & Jack and Cloud Island brands. The items were sold in-store and online, but have been removed from both channels, CNN Business reported first.
According to the Target website, “the fittings can break or come off the coveralls, causing a risk of suffocation, laceration and pinching for children”
The Cat & Jack swimsuit was sold from December 2019 to October 2020, while the Cloud Island jumpsuit was sold from July 2019 to October 2020. There were no reports of choking, but a set of 43 reports of fittings standing out from the item, by CNN The deal.
Customers who have already purchased the products can receive a refund by returning the items to the store or obtaining a prepaid shipping label from Target to return the items in the mail.
Clothes are not the only items that Target had to remember this year. In August, the retailer recalled peaches due to an outbreak of salmonella in nine states.
