Tar Heels is among the 6 best for 2022 recruits four stars

Roy Williams and the UNC Basketball program stepped forward in terms of recruiting a four-star player in the 2022 class on Sunday.

With the 2021 class virtually over, UNC began to shift its focus to 2022, which will be much more important now for the program. With more than six offers for potential customers, UNC is beginning to establish its recruitment framework and key targets.

On Sunday, they made the final selection for four-star striker De’Ante Green, who narrowed their list to six finalists: UNC, Tennessee, NC State, Florida State, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest. He made his announcement on Twitter:

The 1.8-meter, 93-pound striker is playing his first year at the Asheville Christian Academy and the state recruit has become a major player for Tar Heels. In his six finals, he has five Atlantic Coast Conference teams on the list, with only Tennessee as the only SEC team.

The UNC will be battling the ACC’s enemies to win Green and secure a pledge in 2022. They officially offered it in December and have been a legitimate candidate ever since.

Green is currently ranked No. 110 nationally, No. 21 power forward and No. 1 player in the state of North Carolina in the 247 sports recruiting ranking. At the moment, he has no predictions about the Crystal Ball’s prognosis, but that should change in the coming months, as his recruitment heats up.

The Tar Heels have not yet reached an appointment in class 2022, but Green is among the recruits they are starting to prioritize here as we move into spring. With the dead recruitment period going on until May, UNC will have to wait to get Green on campus.
