There are a lot of wireless headphones out there, and that means that there is a lot of competition for the money from the headphones. In the latest from CNET summary of the best wireless headphones, David Carnoy put together a real trophy box of incredible headphones like the Sony WH-1000XM4, Apple AirPods Max and Bose Noise Canceling Headphones 700. But while they are all valuable audio equipment, they also cost a small fortune – up to $ 550 for the AirPods Max. If you want solid audio quality at a much more realistic price, consider the JBL E55BT, which currently costs only $ 50.
The JBL E55BT wireless headphones have been around for a long time. Debuting in 2017, they are currently priced at $ 150, but are scheduled until March 28 (the best price I could find on these headphones elsewhere was $ 82 on Amazon). These headphones have an attractive style without drawing too much attention to themselves, and you get 20 hours of battery life and solid Bluetooth audio performance. In David Carnoy’s review of JBL E55BT he said that they offer a “very dynamic sound, but [it] falls short of that richest, most refined sound you’ll find in many state-of-the-art Bluetooth headsets. “Their final assessment was that they delivered a solid sound and a comfortable fit for the price. Now that they are selling for a third of the original price, it is a really good deal.
What are you not going to get? Active noise cancellation, which was not at stake in 2017 as it is today. But if you can live without it, here’s a solid pair of good quality headphones at a bargain price.
